Information regarding Dorothy's birth, marriage and children was received from Gaylene on the Goldfields mailing list. I will need to confirm this as I didn't even have Dorothy as a child of William and Elizabeth until she sent me this info! As per the entry below, received from Cathie Shaw, it was obviously a spelling variation that was the reason I couldn't find the birth!!

Yes, Dorothy Ann is part of the Bynon family, and had a short and rather tragic looking life!

Dorothy Ann Bynon was born in 1872, married Robert Luke Straughair in 1893, had 3 children..Cyril Stanley Straughair in 1893; John Thomas Straughair in 1896 and Dorothy May Straughair in 1900. Dorothy (the mother) died in 1900..presumably relating to the birth of her child; her husband Robert also died in 1900, not long after Dorothy...leaving three small children.

All 3 children survived childhood...the two boys married and had children (births only go up to 1920). Dorothy did not marry and died in
1934.
